Photo Detail
Anyone who has visited Saint John's Abbey in Collegeville, MN, will recognize the photo at the top of this page. The image is a detail of the stained glass window in the Abbey Church. One of the largest stained glass windows in the world, it comprises the entire main facade of the Abbey Church. It was designed by the late Bronislaw Bak, a former member of the art department of Saint John's University. Several monks and students assisted Mr. Bak in the execution of the design. The design of the window suggests the splendor of the liturgical year.
